Anne Burns holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and is an Honorary Professor in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. She is also a Professor Emerita at Aston University, UK and an Honorary Professor at both the University of Sydney and The Education University, Hong Kong. Renowned for her contributions to language teacher education and the teaching of speaking, she is particularly celebrated for her work on action research. She is the Series Editor for the Research and Resources Series published by Routledge.

Her recent publications include Sustaining Action Research: A Practical Guide for Institutional Engagement (co-authored with Emily Edwards and Neville Ellis, Routledge, 2022) and The Routledge Handbook of Language Teacher Action Research (co-edited with Kenan Dikilitaș, 2025), the first major collection on action research in language education, praised as “outstanding” and a “landmark”. In 2017, TESOL International recognised her as one of the “50@50” for an outstanding contribution to ELT. Mustapha Taibi is a Professor of Interpreting and Translation at Western Sydney University, where he leads the International Community Translation Research Group.  He also serves as the editor of Translation & Interpreting: The International Journal of Translation and Interpreting Research.  His research primarily focuses on community translation and interpreting, as well as intercultural communication.

He has authored several influential books, including Community Translation (2016), New Insights into Arabic Translation and Interpreting (2016), Translating for the Community (2018),  Multicultural Health Translation, Interpreting and Communication (co-authored with Meng Ji and Ineke Crezee, 2019), Translating Cultures: An Introduction for Translators, Interpreters and Mediators (co-authored with David Katan, 2021) and Translation and Community (2025).

Nor Fariza Mohd Nor is an Associate Professor at the Center of Research in Language and Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She has a strong research track record, leading numerous research grants from the Ministry of Education, industry and international organisations.

Her primary research interests include media discourse and critical discourse studies, with a particular focus on media linguistics. Her work spans areas such as the Malaysian Hansard corpus, Malay culturomics, the Malaysian climate change corpus, and social media corpus. A prolific author, she has published extensively in indexed journals, as well as authoring books and book chapters. Additionally, she serves as an editor for Heliyon, a high- impact journal, and as a peer reviewer for other high-impact journals, such as PLOS ONE, SAGE Open and Taylor & Francis publications.
